You are agreeing to Reddit's third-party advertising partners building profiles of your interests from your activity. They can use these profiles to deliver targeted ads on other sites.

“Our third-party advertising partners may use these cookies to build a profile of your interests and deliver relevant advertising on other sites.”

What that means: These profiles allow advertising partners to serve you highly targeted advertisements across various other websites you visit. This means your browsing habits are used for advertising beyond Reddit's platform.

Reddit shares data collected through cookies with its third-party advertising partners. These partners can then use this information to create detailed profiles about your online interests.

You are agreeing to Reddit tracking your activity on advertiser websites.

“In addition to using cookies on our sites, we may also serve our cookies (specifically, our advertising pixel) on third-party sites operated by Reddit advertisers who use our advertising technology.”

What that means: Your browsing behavior on websites outside of Reddit that use their ad technology can be tracked. This data may be used to show you more relevant advertisements on Reddit.

Reddit places its own tracking pixel on external websites that are operated by Reddit advertisers. This allows Reddit to collect data about your activity on those sites.

You are agreeing to the automatic use of 'strictly necessary' cookies that cannot be turned off.

“Strictly Necessary: These cookies are necessary for our services to function properly and securely and cannot be switched off in our systems.”

What that means: You do not have the option to refuse or disable certain essential cookies. This limits your control over all cookies used on the platform.

Some cookies are labeled as 'strictly necessary' by Reddit and cannot be disabled through their system settings. This means these cookies will always be active when you use the service.
