You are agreeing to give up your right to a jury trial in any legal dispute.

What that means: Your dispute will be decided by a hired arbitrator, not a judge or jury of your peers.
By accepting arbitration, you explicitly waive your constitutional right to a trial by jury.
You are agreeing to surrender ownership controls over your user-generated content to Sony permanently.

What that means: Sony can profit from or share your creative work without asking you again or paying you.

You are agreeing to forfeit all digital assets and funds upon account termination.

What that means: If you leave or get banned, you lose all money spent on the platform instantly.
Deleting or losing your account results in the immediate and permanent loss of all purchased digital goods, currency, and progress with no compensation.
You are agreeing to automatic recurring payments for subscriptions and trials unless actively cancelled.
“free trials will automatically convert into ongoing paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period. To avoid being charged, you must cancel your subscription prior to the expiration of the trial period.”
What that means: You will be charged recurring fees for subscriptions you thought were temporary or free.
Free trials automatically become paid subscriptions if not manually cancelled before the deadline.
You are agreeing that this single acceptance covers various other specific licenses and purchase terms.
“In addition to this Agreement, the following additional terms apply... the System Software License Agreement... the PlayStation Software Application End User License Agreement... and if you purchase physical goods... the PlayStation Physical Goods Terms of Purchase”
What that means: One click affects your legal rights across hardware, software, and physical retail items.
Accepting these Terms binds you to multiple other distinct agreements covering software, game EULAs, and physical product purchases.
You are agreeing to stay bound by updated terms simply by continuing to play games or use the store.
“You accept this Agreement... by continuing to use Services after being notified of a change to these Terms.”
What that means: You may find new restrictions or costs applied to your account if you keep playing without reading updated notices.
Sony can update the terms of service, and your continued use of the platform serves as your acceptance of those changes.
You are agreeing that Sony is not responsible for losses stemming from unauthorized account access.
“We reserve the right to suspend, terminate or restrict any Account... that uses or was created using false information... We have no liability for any unauthorized usage of any Account.”
What that means: You bear the risk of financial loss if your account is hacked or banned due to suspected activity.
Sony holds broad power to ban accounts for suspected fraud or rule-breaking and denies liability for account compromise.
You are agreeing to take full responsibility for your child's online behavior and spending.
“If you are younger than 18... you must have reviewed these Terms with your parent or guardian and they have agreed to be bound by these Terms... You also... accept all liability for their actions”
What that means: Parents are legally on the hook for everything their children do or buy on the platform.
Children can use the service under parental supervision, but the parent assumes full legal and financial liability for the child's actions.
You are agreeing to cover all costs incurred by your child's account within set spending limits.
“All transactions may be deemed to be governed by law... You are agreeing to pay for all transactions made by you or your children”
What that means: Unexpected charges can appear on your credit card if a child makes purchases within allowed limits.
Parents are fully liable for all in-game and store purchases made by linked child accounts.
