In short

  • Adobe General Terms of Use grants the company broad rights to process and share your data across its services.
  • You accept that Adobe can change these terms without specific notice or consent, relying instead on continued use.
  • The agreement also limits Adobe's liability for service disruptions and content issues.

What you accept

If you tap Agree

Everyday words for the material promises and rights you give up. Each line includes a quote from the document.

  1. 01

You are agreeing to allow Adobe to modify the terms at any time by posting changes online.

    Other products, stores, or brands

“We may update these Terms from time to time... Your continued use of the Services after such updates become effective means you accept and agree to the updated Terms.”
  2. 02

You are agreeing to indemnify Adobe and hold them harmless against claims arising from your use of their services.

    This product

“You agree to indemnify and hold Adobe and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners, licensors, suppliers harmless...”

What it can cost you

Downsides we could quote

Quoted clauses that can affect your privacy, money, or right to go to court — including terms that follow you to other products.

Highest-cost clauses first

High cost

Unilateral changes with little or no notice

You are agreeing to accept updated terms solely through passive continued use of the services.

“Your continued use of the Services after such updates become effective means you accept and agree to the updated Terms.”

What that means: You lose the ability to negotiate new terms and may be bound by unfavorable changes without knowing.

Adobe can change the terms unilaterally and binds you to them simply if you keep using the service, with no requirement for active re-consent.

Medium cost

Liability shifted onto the user

You are agreeing to waive your right to claim indirect or consequential damages from Adobe.

“ADOBE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES”

What that means: If Adobe’s negligence causes you loss, you may not be able to recover those costs.

Adobe excludes a wide range of damages including indirect and consequential losses, shifting financial risk onto you if something goes wrong.

If these terms already apply to you

Keep this list. Fineprint cannot undo or cancel something you already agreed to at the company.

We cannot see Agree on their site. With Premium, tap “I accepted these terms” if you already agreed to what Adobe asks.
